Random Rab in Sedona: The Slow Night, the Fast Night, and How to Choose
Random Rab plays two nights at humankind in Sedona, October 9 and 10: a downtempo journey on Friday and a full dance floor on Saturday with Lady Merkaba.

If you have ever found yourself barefoot at sunrise, swaying next to a stranger who somehow feels like family, there is a fair chance his music was in the air. On Friday, October 9 and Saturday, October 10, Random Rab is in Sedona for two nights at humankind, and dancers get a choice to make: the slow night, the fast night, or both.

Who Is Random Rab, and Why Do Dancers Love Him?
Random Rab is a producer and multi-instrumentalist who has been blending live instruments and his own voice with electronic music for more than twenty years. He is known above all for sunrise sets: 25 years of Burning Man, and ten years running of dawn sets at Envision Festival in Costa Rica. His music is melodic, emotional and patient. It gives your body time to arrive before it asks anything of it, which is exactly what a good dance wave does.

Which Night Is for My Body?
Friday is the Downtempo Journey. Electronic, world, ambient and downtempo sounds: think long exhales, slow spirals, eyes closed. If your favorite part of a dance is the stretch of floor time before the beat drops, this is your night. Special guest Exologik opens, and the music runs from 8:00 PM to midnight.

Saturday is the Dance Experience. This is the energetic side of his sound: electronic music, global rhythms, and a room set up as an immersive dance floor. If you came to sweat, come Saturday. The music runs from 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM.
And if you cannot choose, you do not have to. Most people who have bought so far took the two-night pass.
Who Is Opening on Saturday?
Lady Merkaba, a name Sedona dancers already know. If you want a taste of what she does with a room, her ELEVATE set at humankind is a good place to start.
Is This an Ecstatic Dance?
Not in the formal sense. It is a concert: there is no opening circle and nobody will guide you through a warm-up. But the floor is open, the sound and visuals are immersive, and nobody will look twice if you dance like you do on a Sunday morning. Bring the same body, and the same kindness toward the people around you.
