EIR returns: Sedona's ecstatic dance floor lights up August 29

Some DJs play music at you. EIR builds a world around you. On Saturday, August 29, Sedona's biggest conscious dance floor lights up again as EIR brings ecstatic dance back to humankind — three hours of continuous journey, 8PM to 11PM, on a floor built for exactly this.

Who is EIR?

Step into one of her sets and you understand fast. EIR works from behind the decks the way a storyteller works a fire circle — reading the room, building the wave, letting it break when the floor is ready. And she doesn't stay behind the decks: at her last show at humankind she stepped out mid-set, hand on heart, voice on the mic, turning the peak of the journey into something closer to ceremony than concert.

Then there are the visuals. humankind's wall-to-wall LED canvas runs the full width of the stage, and EIR uses every inch of it — forests dissolve into fractals, kaleidoscopes bloom in time with the music, and her name hangs in elegant letters over it all. It is the rare dance floor where closing your eyes and opening them are both the right choice.

What happens at an EIR ecstatic dance?

If you've never done an ecstatic dance before, this is a beautiful first one. The format is simple: no talking on the floor, no substances needed, no steps to know. You move how your body wants to move. EIR handles the rest — a single continuous arc of music that starts gentle, climbs somewhere wild, and sets you back down transformed.
